Instructions:

• Ch 18(22-26) loosely.
• Rnd 1 (Right side): Hdc in third ch from hook and in each ch across: 16(20-24) hde (do not count ch-2 as an hdc, now and throughout).
• Rnds 2-16(20-24): Ch 2, turn; hdc in back loop only of each hdc across.
• Finish off leaving a length for sewing. With right sides to­gether, sew beginning chain and last row together through one loop on each side (so it will be a nice flat seam); stitch in place several times, but do not cut yarn. Weave yarn end through end of each row, pulling tightly to gather and close the top. Secure end and finish off.Turn lower edge of hat to the right side to form the brim.
